WEST POINT, NY – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned a road win on Friday night at Christl Arena, defeating Army West Point by the final score of 67-58.

Savion Lewis (18 points) and Matt Balanc (17 points, 10 rebounds) paced the Bobcats in the victory. Quinnipiac moves to 3-1 so far in 2023-24 with the win.

Quinnipiac used a 20-3 run over the final 9:40 of the first half to extend the lead to double digits. Army led 22-16 prior to the start of the run, then the Bobcats took a 36-25 lead into the break after a Savion Lewis layup at the rim. The Bobcats led the rest of the way following the run to end the first half.

Savion Lewis led the way with 18 points and five assists over 30 minutes on the floor. Lewis shot 6-of-10 from the field, and 6-of-8 from the free throw line.
Matt Balanc added 17 points, 12 of which came during the first half. He also grabbed 10 rebounds, registering his first double-double of the year.
Alexis Reyes chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds off the bench. All 10 of his points came in the second half of action.
Amarri Tice chipped in with eight points and five rebounds, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
Paul Otieno added six points and three rebounds, and Rihards Vavers recorded four points and five rebounds.
Quinnipiac has won four of its last five meetings with Army dating back to 2001.
