AMHERST, Mass. – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped a non-conference matchup at UMass by the final score of 102-81 on Monday inside the Mullins Center.

Matt Balanc and Amarri Tice led the scoring charge for the Bobcats with 13 points each. Richie Springs chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor.

Amarri Tice registered 13 points to go along with three rebounds over 18 minutes of playing time. He shot 5-of-6 from the floor.
Matt Balanc also added 13 points. The graduate guard shot 7-for-8 from the charity stripe.
Richie Springs chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds off the bench. The transfer shot 5-for-5 from the field for QU. Springs has recorded 10+ points in all three games this season for the Bobcats.
Alexis Reyes scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds.
Savion Lewis registered five points, nine assists and three rebounds. Lewis has posted assist totals of 8, 11, and 9 over the first three games of the year.
Rihards Vavers scored nine points in his first collegiate start.
Paul Otieno contributed with six points and six boards.
QU outrebounded UMass 36-35.
