HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 10 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program remained unbeaten in ECAC play on Saturday night, retaining the Heroes' Hat and winning the Battle of Whitney Ave., 5-2 in front of a sellout crowd of 3,625 at M&T Bank Arena.
Collin Graf and Jayden Lee led the Bobcats with three points apiece, while Jacob Quillan and Andon Cerbone added multi-point nights as well.
The Bobcats raced out to a 3-0 lead on the backs of goals from Cerbone, Lee and Fillion but Yale would score once at the end of the second and again to begin the third to cut the lead to one.
The hosts raced right back, scoring 70 seconds after the Yale goal and again 66 seconds later to retake control of the night and win their 13th straight over the Bulldogs.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats return home for another ECAC home weekend on Nov. 17 and 18, hosting Top 10 foe Cornell on Friday before bringing Colgate to town on Saturday.
