Bobcats Match Best Finish at NCAA Regionals

BRONX, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team matched its best-ever finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday morning, placing ninth at the regional meet held at Van Cortlandt Park.
With a total of 260 points, the Bobcats bested 28 regional rivals and their USTFCCCA Regional Rankings by three spots. The squad was led by senior Liv DiStefano, who placed 36th in a time of 20:42.5.
Alessandra Zaffina (46th) and Rachel St. Germain (52nd) rounded out the Bobcats' top three.

- Zaffina also ran a collegiate best time by 15 seconds that she ran at the MAAC Championships two weeks prior.
- St. Germain finished in a college-best time, besting her Jasper Fall XC Invite time by nine seconds.
- Young ran her fastest time in two seasons, clocking in eight seconds ahead of her time at the 2021 Paul Short Run.
