HAMDEN, Conn. – Stella Tegtmeier scored both of Quinnipiac's goals on the afternoon, as the Quinnipiac field hockey team came up short against in-state BIG EAST foe UConn, 3-2 in overtime, on Friday afternoon at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.

With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 4-6 on the 2023 season and 2-2 in the BIG EAST, while UConn improved to 5-7 in its campaign and 2-2 in the BIG EAST.

Q1 – (5:47) – Stella Tegtmeier carried the ball into the offensive zone on a reset and fired home for the unassisted goal
Q1 – (8:59) – Julianna Kratz received the ball off a penalty corner insert, fired home and tied the contest at 1-1
Q1 – (12:57) – Cameron Brower sent in the penalty corner to Kate Zamagni, who made the stop and lined it up for Tegtmeier. Tegtmeier fired low and put QU ahead 2-1.
Q3 – (41:47) – Off a penalty corner insert, Aiyi Young sent the ball to Emma Himmler, who found Belle Bressler. Bressler fired low and put it past the keeper to tie the contest at 2-2.
OT – (61:31) – Sol Simone received a pass from Sanne Stout on a streak. Simone made a move on the keeper and scored to win it for UConn.
