NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped a MAAC contest at Iona on Sunday afternoon by the final score of 78-72 at Hynes Center.

The Bobcats move to 15-6 overall in 2022-23. Dezi Jones led QU with a season-high 24 points, six rebounds and two assists.

NOTES

The Bobcats led 45-28 at the break. Quinnipiac shot 15-of-33 over the first 20 minutes of play.
QU jumped out to an early 17-2 lead over the first five-plus minutes of action.
Iona outscored QU 50-27 in the second half of play.
Dezi Jones' season-best 24 points came off 7-of-15 shooting.
Matt Balanc chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Luis Kortright added 11 points and three rebounds.
Ike Nweke added seven points and 10 rebounds.
Paul Otieno recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
QU and Iona now split the season series.

The Bobcats now return to Hamden for three straight home contests. Quinnipiac hosts Marist on Jan. 31, the Bobcats host Fairfield on Feb. 3 (ESPNU) and square off with Mount St. Mary's in Hamden on Feb. 5.
