Bobcats Pick Up First Win of 2022 in Four Sets Against Hartford

DOVER, DEL. – Behind a game-high 16 kills from sophomore Alexandra Tennon, the Quinnipiac volleyball team earned its first win of the 2022 campaign in a 3-1 victory over Hartford eventually Friday evening inside of Memorial Hall.
Ginevra Giovagnoni contributed 14 kills, Chloe Ka'ahanui added 39 assists and 16 digs for a double-double and Faavae Kimsel Moe tallied a career-high six service aces.

The Bobcats jumped out to an early 10-3 lead and never looked back in the set. The Hawks cut it to as close as 17-9 before the Bobcats went on an 8-0 run, powered by two kills from Tennon and two service aces from Faavae Kimsel Moe to secure the set, 25-9.
SET TWO (25-6)
The two sides found themselves tied at 2-2 before the Bobcats went on a tear, striking for a 17-1 run. The deficit proved to be too great for Hartford, as a service ace from Milena Martinon sealed the set win at 25-6.
SET THREE (22-25)
Hartford battled back in the third set, jumping out to an early 8-2 lead. After trailing by as much as 10 points in the set, the Bobcats marched back to trim the deficit to 24-22. However, Hartford hung on to steal the set, taking it 25-22.
SET FOUR (25-16)
The two sides battled to a 7-7 tie in the set before Quinnipiac pulled ahead 11-7 behind two blocks from Nicole Legg and Ka'ahanui. After pushing ahead 15-8, the Bobcats found themselves in the driver's seat, coasting to a 25-16 set win and match victory.
