
QU Announces Addition of Alexis Reyes

Former ECU Wing Spent Senior Season of High School in CT at Putnam Science Academy
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's basketball program has announced the addition of wing Alexis Reyes (Roxbury, Mass.), as revealed by Head Coach Baker Dunleavy on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Reyes will join the Bobcats for the upcoming 2022-23 season after spending his freshman campaign at East Carolina University. The 6-foot-7 sharpshooter played his senior season of high school in Connecticut at Putnam Science Academy.
"We're thrilled to have Alexis Reyes join our Quinnipiac family," Dunleavy said. "Alexis is a great shooter who possesses size and versatility. He will make an immediate impact on our program."

Alexis Reyes | Guard/Forward | Height: 6-7 | Weight: 195
Reyes transfers to Quinnipiac after spending his first collegiate season at East Carolina. He appeared in 10 games last season for the Pirates, making a pair of starts. Reyes averaged 6.3 minutes per game, scoring a total of 15 points in 2021-22. He was also credited with seven rebounds and one steal, and shot 5-for-16 from the field and shot 3-for-14 from 3-point distance.
Reyes spent his senior season of high school at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut.
In 20 games at Putnam Science, he registered 14.0 PPG, 5.8 RPG & 2.5 APG, shooting 46.4% from 3-point distance.
Prior to his time at Putnam Science, he played two seasons (2018-19, 2019-20) at Cushing (Mass.) Academy – where he was named honorable mention All-NEPSAC 2A in 2020. Reyes recorded 12.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game during the 2019-20 season at Cushing, shooting 53.0% from the field and 39% from 3-point range.
He participated in the 2019 Pangos All-America Camp, played AAU with Expressions Elite, and competed internationally with the Dominican Republic National Team at the 2019 U17 World Cup.
Reyes is the third addition to the Bobcats' program ahead of the 2022-23 season. Quinnipiac announced the signings of Ike Nweke and Paul Otieno on April 25, 2022.
