Bobcats Wraps Up Season at NCAA Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team concluded play at the 2022 NCAA Regionals hosted by Florida State at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats finished the event shooting a team score of 299-316-314–929 (+65) for the event, to finish in 12th place at the regional. Hosts and third-seeded Florida State Seminoles took home first place, while South Carolina, UCLA and Mississippi State advanced to the NCAA Championship as well.
Leeyen Peralta led Quinnipiac's grouping, tying for 35th at the NCAA Regionals. Peralta shot 78-74-77–229 (+13) to close out the event. After shooting 83-81 through the first two rounds, Meg Yoshida closed the tournament in strong fashion, shooting a 70 (-2) to tie for 52nd with a score of 234 (+18). Kaylee Sakoda immediately followed in 54th place. The junior shot 70-80-85–235 (+19) to close the event. Aimee Uchida and Fuge Zhang rounded out Quinnipiac's grouping, placing 56th and 60th, respectively. Uchida concluded the event with a score of 237 (+21), while Zhang shot 245 (+29).

- The reigning MAAC Golfer of the Year, Peralta, led QU's grouping with a 35th place finish
- After shooting 74 (+2) in round two, Peralta shot a 77 (+5) to close the event
- Peralta birdied three times in the final round, including two in the front nine
- Yoshida jumped up 11 spots on the final day of competition
