WEST WINDSOR, NJ – Quinnipiac men's tennis kicks off postseason play on Saturday, facing off with Siena in the MAAC Semifinals at 2:00 PM.
2021-22 Regular Season
- QU went 4-2 in MAAC play during the regular season, winning seven total matches during the campaign.
- The Bobcats will be the No. 3 seed in the 2022 MAAC Tennis Championships Presented by Visit NJ.
- Quinnipiac Men's Tennis has claimed four All-MAAC awards, as announced by the league office on Friday, April 22.
- Ayato Arakaki and Donovan Brown earned All-MAAC First Team status at the #2 doubles position to lead the way for the Bobcats. Shaurya Sood (#3 singles), Donovan Brown (#6 singles) and Javier Cassasolas/Shaurya Sood (#1 doubles) were all named to the All-MAAC Second Team.
- The duo of Ayato Arakaki and Donovan Brown went 4-1 in MAAC play from the No. 2 doubles position, earning First-Team status for their efforts.
- Shaurya Sood posted a 3-3 mark in singles play to earn Second Team status. Donovan Brown went 4-1 in conference singles matches after joining the Bobcats ahead of the spring. Javier Cassasolas/Shaurya Sood went 5-1 at the No. 1 doubles position as a duo.
- Siena men's tennis went 14-8 overall (4-2 MAAC) during the regular season. The Saints defeated QU on the final day of the season (April 15), clinching the second seed in the postseason tournament.
- Javier Casasolas Monllor and Alester Magalit each won in singles play for QU during the April 15 match vs. the Saints., and Javier Casasolas Monllor/Shaurya Sood won at No. 1 doubles.
