Two Bobcats Earn Top-10 Finishes at Hartford/Gillette Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac junior Kaylee Sakoda took second place as she led Quinnipiac to a fifth place finish at the Hartford/Gillette Invitational, hosted by Hartford on Saturday afternoon at the Gillette Ridge Golf Club.
Sakoda led a Bobcat group that saw two competitors finish within the top-10, as Sakoda finished in second,while Mia Grzywinski tied for ninth.
The Bobcats took fifth place among seven teams after shooting 335-328–663 (+87) to close the tournament. Penn finished in first place after shooting 311-320–631 (+55), 22 strokes ahead of second place Fairfield.
Sakoda finished in second place after shooting a 79-75–154 (+10) to close play. Grzywinski followed by tying for ninth place. Grzywinski shot 81-81–162 (+18) in the event.
Amanda Tully and Emily Luu rounded out QU's grouping, tying for 31st and 34th, respectively. Tully shot 85-88–173 (+29), while Luu shot 90-84–174 (+30) to close play.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, April 22, when they open play at the MAAC Championship held at the Disney Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista.
