Caverly Posts Career-High 26 Points in QU's WNIT Loss at BC

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Rose Caverly led the way with a career-best 26-point effort, but it wasn't enough as the Quinnipiac women's basketball was downed on the road by Boston College, 94-68, in the second round of the WNIT on Monday evening inside of the Conte Forum.
With the loss, Quinnipiac closes its season with a 21-12 record, marking head coach Tricia Fabbri's 11th consecutive winning season and 11th 20-win campaign with the Bobcats. Quinnipiac went 14-6 in the MAAC, earning the No. 2 overall seed in the MAAC Tournament. After falling in the MAAC Semifinals, QU earned a berth in the WNIT for the fifth time in its program's history, marking the Bobcats 10th national postseason tournament appearance.

- The Bobcats responded with a 10-1 run of their own to cut the deficit to nine with less than a minute to go before the break, however, BC closed the half with a 7-2 run to take a 49-35
- A back-and-forth third quarter saw QU trailing 65-47 midway through the period before the Bobcats went on a swift 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 10
- However, BC closed the quarter with a 4-0 run to take a 69-55 lead into the fourth
- The deficit proved to be too great for the Bobcats as the Eagles eventually hung on for the 94-68 victory
- With the loss, QU ends the season with a 21-12 record
