
Bobcats Conclude Play at Low Country Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, SC – The Quinnipiac golf team took sixth place out of 16 teams to close competition at the Low Country Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford on Sunday afternoon at the Moss Creek Golf Club.
The Bobcats took sixth after shooting 304-301-327–932 (+68) for the event. Princeton took first place after shooting 296-292-300–988 (+24), 13 strokes ahead of second-place USC Upstate.
QU had just one golfer finish within the top-20, led by Leeyen Peralta's tie for 11th place. For the tournament, Peralta shot 72-67-85–227 (+11).
Fuge Zhang followed, tying for 33rd to conclude the event. Zhang shot 74 (+2) in the first round and followed with a 79 (+7) in the second round and 82 (+10) to finish 235 (+19). Kaylee Sakoda and Mia Grzywinski finished at 39th and 41st, respectively. Sakoda shot 80-77-80–237 (+21), while Grzywinski concluded the event shooting 78-78-82–238 (+22).
Aimee Uchida rounded out QU's grouping, placing in 45th. Uchida shot 77-79-83–239 (+23) to close the tournament. Elena Lopez participated as an individual and finished tied for 52nd after shooting an 82-80-80–242 (+26).
The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, April 2, when they open competition at the Jel Women's Golf Intercollegiate, held at the Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Maryland.
