CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Two young Quinnipiac wingers are among the ECAC's best in the month of November, as sophomore Collin Graf and freshman Sam Lipkin were selected for the league's monthly awards.
Graf earned Forward of the Month accolades after his 15-point stretch, while Lipkin is the league's Rookie of the Month.
A transfer out of Union College, the sophomore Graf recorded points in nine of the squad's 10 games during November, including his first collegiate hat trick at Yale on Nov. 12. He also earned Most Outstanding Player honors at the 2022 Friendship Four in Belfast, assisting on both goals in the final as the Bobcats secured their first Belpot.
He's currently riding a seven-game point streak and leads the squad with 20 on the campaign.
A 2021 draft pick of the Arizona Coyotes and member of the Preliminary Roster for Team USA ahead of the 2023 World Juniors, Lipkin is off to a hot start in his first year with the Bobcats, currently with 12 points on the year. He has points in six of his last eight, with 10 of his season total of 12 coming during that span. He assisted on all four goals in a win at Yale on Nov. 12, one of three, first-year players in the country to record that feat.
It has also been 10 years since a Bobcat first year achieved that feat, with the last such game coming from Matthew Peca on Feb. 24, 2012.
Quinnipiac currently stand as the No. 2/3 team in the country entering its final weekend, sitting on the nation's longest unbeaten streak at 11 games as it welcomes RPI and Union to town.
