QU Earns Win at Rhode Island in Season Opener

KINGSTON, RI - Led by Luis Kortright's game-high 15 points and five steals, Quinnipiac men's basketball opened the 2022-23 campaign with a 67-62 road victory over A-10 foe Rhode Island Monday evening inside of the Thomas M. Ryan Center.
Graduate student forward Ike Nweke tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in his Quinnipiac debut, while Dezi Jones contributed 12 points of his own. With the win, head coach Baker Dunleavy has secured a win in two of Quinnipiac's last three season-openers.
