Bobcats secure program's first Friendship Four victory
BELFAST, Northern Ireland — After splitting the first two goals of the night, the No. 4 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program scored four of the next five, advancing to the finals of the 2022 Friendship Four at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
Cristophe Tellier started the scoring with a one-timer from the point off a feed from Jayden Lee, as the puck took a deflection and beat the Dartmouth goaltender.
After Dartmouth evened it on the power play, the Bobcats took control as Sam Lipkin's tally started the run in the second. Victor Czerneckianair had an #SCTop10 play, batting the puck out of the air and into the net to make it 3-1.
13 of the 22 Bobcat skaters found the scoresheet, with five different goalscorers and eight players combining for nine assists. Jacob Quillan added a multi-assist night while the Bobcats won 40 of 61 faceoffs.
