Balanc Knocks Down Late 3-Pointer to Help Lift QU to Victory
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball battled to its third consecutive road win on Sunday afternoon, downing Central Connecticut State by the final score of 72-70.
Matt Balanc knocked down a 3-pointer with 33 seconds left to give the Bobcats the lead. Balanc led QU with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting.
Tymu Chenery added 13 points and six rebounds, and Ike Nweke chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
The Bobcats shot 16-of-30 (53.3%) in the second half.
With the win, Quinnipiac moves to 3-0 to begin the new season for the first time since 1993-94.
