HANOVER, NH – Quinnipiac women's rugby is set to begin NIRA postseason action on Saturday, traveling to top-seeded Dartmouth for a 1:00 PM start in the semifinals.

2022 BOBCATS

QU went 5-3 in 2022, winning each of their last four games during the regular season.
The Bobcats defeated Brown in the season opener (47-14), earned a victory at Princeton (78-5), topped Sacred Heart in Hamden (44-5), defeated LIU (31-17) on the road, then bested Mount St. Mary's in the regular-season finale (62-10).
Over the last four games, the Bobcats outscored their opponents 215-37 in total.

LAST TIME OUT: WIN vs. MSM

Quinnipiac women's rugby cruised past Mount St. Mary's by the final score of 62-10 on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Hamden.
Hazel Bice and Alexandra Erdolino each scored twice to lead the way for QU. Eight different Bobcats found the try zone in total.
Quinnipiac celebrated its senior class prior to the start of the match: Gracie Cartwright, Addison Walker, Maya le Rossignol, Grace Gitchell, Erin Terwilliger, Hazel Bice, Madeline Folsom, Libby Moser.

HEAD COACH BECKY CARLSON

Carlson enters her 12th year at the helm of the Quinnipiac Women's Rugby team in 2022-23, leading the transition from a new varsity program into a three-time national champion. Carlson has been a key advocate for women's NCAA rugby and equality in athletics for over a decade.
As the original head coach of the Quinnipiac women's rugby team added in 2011, Carlson boasts an all-time record of 70-25-1 including back-to-back-to-back Division I NIRA national championship titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Under Carlson's tutelage the program has been to nationals 6 out of 7 seasons and named 13 All-Americans.

BOBCATS COMPLETE PRESEASON TRIP TO NOVA SCOTIA

Quinnipiac took a preseason trip to Nova Scotia in late August, playing in an exhibition vs. X-Women Rugby on Halifax Wanderers Grounds.
The preseason contest took place on Saturday, Aug. 27, and was followed by an international match between Team Canada and Whales.
"This opportunity to travel and compete internationally is ideal for our group's energy and optimism heading into the regular season," Quinnipiac Head Coach Becky Carlson said. "The chance to be the curtain-raiser on an international stage says a lot about Quinnipiac as an NCAA program, and our demand to be considered a top NCAA contender. This match will not only give us a chance to chip away at some of the kinds early on, but it will also show future NCAA rugby student-athletes what kinds of opportunities this experience can lead to."

LAST SEASON

Quinnipiac went 3-4 last season, winning each of their last two games in late October to finish the fall season.
The Bobcats three victories all came on the road – against Sacred Heart (Sept. 3), vs. Northeastern (Oct. 23) and vs. Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 30). QU then went 3-2 in five games during the Brown 7's in April.
