HAMDEN, Conn. — Cristophe Tellier and Collin Graf each scored their first goals with the Bobcats but the No. 6/7 Quinnipiac men's hockey program tied LIU, 2-2, on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.
Graf tallied his close to the midway mark of the first period, firing a rocket high over the goalie's glove side to give the hosts the early advantage.
The lead doubled in the second, as Tellier led the break and fed Heinke, who sent it back to him and he lit the lamp to make it 2-0 to the host Bobcats.
The Bobcats had a 39-20 advantage in shots on goal and Yaniv Perets made 18 saves on the afternoon, but LIU did not go away and were able to force the 2-2 tie after a pair of unassisted goals.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (08:34, 1st period, PP) - Quinnipiac 1, LIU 0: Zach Metsa fed the puck to the circle where Graf was waiting. Collin quickly fed de Jong, who was not able to handle cleanly but could shovel the puck back out to Graf and he one-timed it into the top corner.
- (14:20, 2nd period, EV) - Quinnipiac 2, LIU 0: Tellier was able to beat the LIU defenders to the puck after a long outlet pass and he skated down the near boards and passed to Heinke who was with him in the middle of the ice. Timothy then chipped it back out wide for the Tellier shot.
- (19:06, 2nd period, EV) - Quinnipiac 2, LIU 1: Chris Pappas was able to swipe the puck from a Quinnipiac defensemen and beat Perets low and left.
- (15:51, 3rd period, EV) - Quinnipiac 2, LIU 2: After a Bobcats shot was blocked in the offensive end, Anthony Vincent took the puck the other way and toe-dragged to the middle of the ice, where he put the shot high above Perets' blocker.
- The Bobcats are now unbeaten in 19 of their last 20 home games, dating back to Oct. 26, 2021. They are 17-1-2 during that stretch.
- Metsa and de Jong each recorded points in both games this weekend, with both combining to assist on Graf's goal. They have a pair of assists each in the first two games.
- All six goals have come from a different goalscorer, as Tellier and Graf join Metsa, de Jong, Charles-Alexis Legault and Michael Lombardi.
