HAMDEN, CT - No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey defeated Saint Anselm by the final score of 7-1 on Saturday, Oct. 8 at M&T Bank Arena. With the victory, the Bobcats move to 6-0 so far in 2022-23.

12 Bobcats recorded points and three players had multiple points. Kate Reilly had a goal and assist and both Shay Maloney and Kendall Cooper recorded two assists.

(04:40, 1^st period, EV) Quinnipiac 1, Saint Anselm 0: Quinnipiac got their scoring started early in this one as Mallory Mauracher tipped in the shot from Maddy Samoskevich for her first collegiate goal. Kendall Cooper picked up the secondary assist on the opening goal to give Quinnipiac an early 1-0 lead.
(01:29, 2^nd period, EV) Quinnipiac 2, Saint Anselm 0: The Bobcats opened up the second period firing on all cylinders. Maya Labad played the puck into the corner where Kate Reilly picked it up. Sadie Peart was sitting at the top of the circle where she got the pass and buried it glove side on Allie Kelley.
(03:34, 2^nd period, EV) Quinnipiac 2, Saint Anselm 1: The Hawks got one back as Margaret Sullivan beat goalie Catie Boudiette on the breakaway to shrink the lead back to one.
(08:57, 2nd period, PP) Quinnipiac 3, Saint Anselm 1: Quinnipiac was cycling the puck around their offensive zone on the powerplay before the puck found the stick of Lexie Adzija. Adzija ripped a one-timer into the back of the net. Peart and Cooper picked up the assists to help extend the lead back to two.
(15:07, 2^nd period, EV) Quinnipiac 4, Saint Anselm 1: Shay Maloney tied up the Hawks' center and allowed Olivia Mobley to scoop up the puck. Mobley ripped a shot past the Hawks' goalie to give Quinnipiac a three goal lead.

Mauracher scored her first collegiate goal in her first collegiate game in the first period.
Captain Lexie Adzija tallied point number 99 with her goal as she is right on the doorstep of point number 100.
Cooper tallied two assists for the second straight game and pushed her season total to four. Maloney also recorded two assists on back-to-back goals.
Catie Boudiette got her third win of the season, making six saves on seven shots.
The Bobcats outshot the Hawks 65-7 through 60 minutes.
Quinnipiac dominated the faceoff circle once again going 45-23 at the dot.
