Upperclassmen Scoring Powers No. 6/7 Bobcats to Opening Night Win at BC

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Graduate students Zach Metsa, Ethan de Jong and Michael Lombardi tallied three of the four Quinnipiac men's hockey goals tonight, as the squad rolled to a 4-0 victory over Boston College on Friday night to open its regular season.
De Jong added an assist to his name for a two-point night, while Jacob Quillan had two assists to help power the Bobcats' offense that poured in four for the third consecutive game to start its schedule. They put in four in a pair of exhibition contests last weekend.
Yaniv Perets added the 12th shutout of his career, stopping all 16 shots on goal to keep the Eagles off the board.

STATS AND NOTES
- de Jong entered the night as the NCAA's active career leader in points and added two more to his name, currently sitting at 106. He has 21 career multi-point games.
- The Bobcats' unbeaten streak stretched to six games against Boston College as the team earned their first win at Conte Forum. Their previous matchup ended in a 1-1 tie.
- Quillan recorded his second consecutive, two-assist contest with a pair of helpers tonight. He had two assists in the NCAA Tournament last season against Michigan.
- Legault scored his first collegiate goal and fired a team-high four shots on frame.
- Lombardi has scored in five of his last eight games, dating back to last season.
