
Bobcats Finish Seventh At CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's cross country placed seventh overall out of 10 teams on Friday at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. The Bobcats had five runners finish in the Top 50.
Cassidy Phillips finished as the Bobcats' best performer, finishing 25th overall with a time of 10:41. Clare Veverka posted Quinnipiac's second best time (10:45) as she ended the meet in 30th place.
Ana Caliri finished the meet in 32nd place with a time of 10:47. Christina Gunsalus (11:15) and Sophia Jones (11:19) finished in 47th and 49th place, respectively.

- Quinnipiac's best finisher, Cassidy Phillips, had her best finish (25th place) with her time of 10:41.
- Senior Clare Veverka had her best finish this season with her finish in 30th place and a time of 10:45.
- Ana Caliri set a new personal record with her time of 10:47, which was better than her time last year at the CCSU Mini Meet by nine seconds.
- Sophomore Christina Gunsalus ran a time of 11:15 in her first 3k of her collegiate career.
- First year Sophia Jones set her collegiate PR with her time of 11:19 en route to a 49th place finish.
