Bobcats Fall vs. Bulldogs in Final Day of Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's volleyball fell in a non-conference match against Yale by the final score of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in New Haven.
Aryanah Diaz (9 kills) and Maggie Baker (8 kills) paced the Bobcats in the loss. Chloe Ka'ahanui recorded a team-high 18 assists, while three QU players added 10+ digs.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
Quinnipiac took the first point of the match, followed by five consecutive Yale points. The Bulldogs scored five of the last seven points of the set to take an early lead.
Maggie Baker recorded three kills during the first set for the Bobcats. Yale had a .472 hitting percentage, while the Bobcats recorded a .111 hitting mark. The Bulldogs had three service aces in route to picking up the first set.
SET TWO
QU took an early 4-2 advantage in the second set. Diaz recorded a pair of kills, followed by back-to-back kills from Ka'ahanui and Baker. The two teams went back and forth, until Yale won three of the final four points to take the set 25-18.
Attack attempts were even 38-38. The Bobcats recorded a .132 hitting percentage.
SET THREE
Yale went up 4-1 early in the third set, but the Bobcats battled back to earn five straight points to take the lead. Alexandra Tennon/Alisa Mejia recorded a block to give QU its fifth straight point to take the 6-4 lead.
Bonnie Bostic's kill would cap a 12-1 Yale run to clinch the set and the match for the Bulldogs. QU recorded a .104 hitting percentage in the loss.
