POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Senior Maggie Baker recorded 10 kills and first-year Faavae Kismel Moe had 18 digs as the Bobcats dropped a four-setter against Marist Wednesday night. Nicole Legg tallied 9 kills and 3 blocks while Aryanah Diaz notched 22 assists and 8 kills.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
The Red Foxes jumped to an early lead in the first set, but Quinnipiac came back to tie it up after a kill from Olga Zampati. Marist went on to take a 14-3 run, closing the first set with three aces.
SET TWO (25-16, QU)
The Bobcats controlled the second set thanks to five straight points that opened an 11-6 lead. Quinnipiac held onto that five-point lead throughout the set. Back-to-back kills by Baker and a Lexi Morse helped finish off the second set.
SET THREE (25-16, MARIST)
The majority of the third set was controlled by Marist. The two sides evenly split the first ten points, before Marist went on an 13-6 run to make it 20-11. Three kills by Legg and Baker combined could not hold off the Red Foxes as they took set three.
SET FOUR (25-15, MARIST)
Marist soared to a 15-6 fourth set lead after a ball handling error by Diaz. Following a Quinnipiac time out, both sides evenly split the remainder of the set, but Marist held onto their early lead to win the fourth set.
NEXT MATCH
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 2 as they travel to Fairfield, Conn., to play the Fairfield Stags.
