Sophomore Chloe Ka'Ahanui opened the match with a four-point run that included three service aces. Niagara would return the favor with eight of the next nine points and eventually opened up a four point lead at 15-11. Diaz tallied two kills in a row to spark a QU rally and the Bobcats carried it all the way to a 23-19 edge. After a few errors by Quinnipiac allowed Niagara to cut the lead to one, QU was able to close out the set on a Baker kill and a Purple Eagle attack error.
SET TWO (25-19, NIAGARA)
After five kills by five different Bobcats, Quinnipiac took an early 8-5 lead in set number two. Once Niagara tied the set at 8-8, the teams would split the next 22 points as a Georgia Tselepi attack error left things tied at 19-19. The Purple Eagles proceeded to score the next six points to finish the set and even the match.

The Bobcats struggled to find their footing in the third set, as Niagara scored the first five points and never looked back, winning 25-7.

Quinnipiac battled in the fourth set, but were unable to gather a lead at any point. Niagara led by as many as seven points (21-14) before the Bobcats rattled off nine of the next 11 points and evened the set at 23-23. QU held serve at 24-24, but a Nicole Legg service error set up a Niagara match point and the hosts finished things off with a kill from Mary Redl.
NEXT MATCH
The Bobcats return to action on Sunday, September 26 against Canisius, an opponent whom they've met in both of the last two MAAC Championship tournaments.
