QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
Rider jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, but Quinnipiac battled to eventually take a 12-11 lead near the midway point of the set. Three straight points, including a Georgia Tselepi kill and Faavae Kimsel Moe service ace, forced a Rider timeout at 15-12. The Bobcats maintained a three-point lead all the way to 23-20, but three straight kills by Rider's Tori Schrader tied the set at 23 apiece. Quinnipiac fought off two set points and then created two of its own, but ultimately conceded the set after an Anilee Sher service ace and an Olga Zampati attack error.
SET TWO (25-18, QU)
The Broncs once again started strong in set two, opening with an 8-3 lead and continuing to a 12-7 edge. However, a kill by Diaz sparked a huge Quinnipiac run where the team scored 13 of the next 15 points in the match and led 20-14. Diaz, Tselepi, and Nicole Legg each had kills down the stretch and the Bobcats won the set and evened the match.
SET THREE (25-22, RIDER)
The two sides evenly split the first 16 points of the third set, before a 7-2 Rider run vaulted them into the lead at 15-10. Quinnipiac battled all the way back to tie the set at 22 and force a Broncs timeout, but Rider saw kills from Morgan Romano and Jenna Amaro to close the set with three straight points.
SET FOUR (25-21, RIDER)
The majority of the fourth set was all Rider, as the visitors opened up a commanding 21-9 lead. But the Bobcats showed tremendous resolve and rattled off a 12-3 run that pulled the set within reach at 24-21 before Romano ended the match with another kill. Rider setter Anilee Sher broke the program's all-time assist record on the final point of the match.
