Nella, Koscielski Each Earn Pair of Wins to Lead QU
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Top-seeded Quinnipiac women's tennis earned a 4-1 victory today over No. 4 Niagara in the semifinal round of the 2021 MAAC Tournament at Mercer County Tennis Park.
With the win, Head Coach Paula Miller and the Bobcats will advance to the MAAC Tournament title match for the seventh time since joining the league (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21).
Kamilla Nella and Claire Koscielski each earned a pair of wins to lead the Bobcats to the finals.
The Bobcats will advance to the MAAC title match tomorrow (Sunday, April 25). No. 1 Quinnipiac will square off with No. 3 Siena with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line at 2:00 PM from the Mercer County Tennis Park.

NOTES
- Quinnipiac is now 12-1 all-time in MAAC postseason matches since joining the conference in 2013-14.
- Claire Koscielski/Kamilla Nella improved to 6-6 together this spring in doubles action. The duo earned a No. 1 doubles victory over Megan Gamble/Elana Mayet (6-2).
- Kamilla Nella picked up the first QU point of the day, downing Coral Rodriguez (6-1, 6-1) from the No. 2 position. Nella is now 10-3 in singles matches, staying undefeated at 7-0 against MAAC competition.
- Dominique Vasile is also now 10-3 in singles matches this year. She won from the No. 3 spot, cruising past Erika Gonzalez (6-1, 6-0). Vasile is 6-1 against MAAC opponents this spring in singles competition.
- Claire Koscielski also earned her 10th win of the spring, topping Elena Mayet at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-3). Koscielski has won six times from the No. 1 spot.
- Stephanie Yanosov won her second match of the year at No. 5 singles. She defeated Megan Gamble – 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) – to help the Bobcats earn the clinching point. Yanosov is also tied for the team lead in total singles wins (10).
