Bobcats Capture All 3 Major MAAC Awards

7 Total Members of the Bobcats Earn All-MAAC Honors
EDISON, N.J. – Quinnipiac women's tennis captured all three major MAAC awards and 11 total honors, as announced by the league office on Friday, April 23.
Claire Koscielski has been named 2021 MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year, Madison Williams captured Rookie of the Year honors, and Paula Miller was named the league's Head Coach of the Year.
The Bobcats also earned seven All-MAAC First Team honors, and one All-MAAC Second Team award.
Koscielski – a sophomore transfer from the University of Cincinnati – kicked of her Quinnipiac career in impressive fashion this spring. She earned nine singles wins in total (five wins at No. 1 singles, four wins at No. 2 singles), which ranked tied for the team lead. Koscielski also won five doubles matches, giving her 14 total victories for the Bobcats. She posted an impressive 5-1 mark in MAAC singles matches.

Madison Williams also kicked off her QU career in impressive style, capturing the MAAC Rookie of the Year award. Williams went 9-3 in singles matches this spring, including a perfect 6-0 MAAC record from the No. 4 position. She also won five doubles matches alongside Payton Bradley from the No. 2 spot, giving Williams 14 total victories. She has won six consecutive singles matches entering postseason play.

Paula Miller has earned her fifth MAAC Coach of the Year honor, leading the Bobcats to a perfect 6-0 league mark this spring. Under Miller, Quinnipiac earned a regular season league title for the seventh time since joining the MAAC (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21). The Bobcats have now won 49 consecutive regular season conference matches. Quinnipiac is a perfect 49-0 in regular season league matches, dating back to 2013.

- Nella earned five singles wins this spring, going a perfect 8-0 from the No. 2 position. She went 6-0 in conference singles matches, and has won each of her last eight contests entering postseason play this weekend.
- Vasile won nine singles matches (tied for team lead) in 2021, posting a 5-1 mark in league action. She's gone 7-3 in her last 10 singles matches, and won five straight MAAC singles matchups to begin the season.
- Madison Williams posted a perfect 6-0 mark in MAAC singles action from the No. 4 spot, winning nine singles matches (tied for team-best) this spring. She's won eight of her last 10, and six consecutive singles matches heading into the MAAC Tournament this weekend.
- Payton Bradley went 4-2 in league play from the No. 5 singles spot. She's won three straight matches entering postseason action.
- The duo lost just once in MAAC play, going 5-1 together in league matches this spring. They won together in the Bobcats' regular season finale against Marist this past weekend.
- Vasile and Yanosov went an impressive 9-3 together at No. 3 doubles in 2021, winning each of their last three matches together. The duo is 7-3 over their last 10 matches. Vasile and Yanosov's nine wins together in doubles marks a team-best number this spring.
Stephanie Yanosov: All-MAAC Second Team (No. 6 Singles)
- Stephanie Yanosov went 5-1 to collect All-MAAC Second Team honors. She went 9-3 overall, going 8-3 from the No. 6 singles position. Yanosov is 8-2 over her last 10 singles matchups.
