Koscielski Captures MAAC Player of the Week Honors

3-Win Week Helps Sophomore Earn QU's Second Straight Weekly Award
Edison, N.J. – Quinnipiac women's tennis sophomore Claire Koscielski has been named MAAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
Koscielski picked up three wins for the Bobcats this past week. She earned a pair of victories at No. 2 singles, and recorded a No. 1 doubles win.
She won in No. 2 singles vs. UConn's Hoppe in straight sets (7-5, 6-1) on Wednesday, March 17 to begin the week. Koscielski then picked up two wins on Saturday, March 20 at URI. She teamed up with Kamilla Nella to down URI's Chratian/Rajan at No. 1 doubles, then earned a point vs. Chratian in straight sets (6-3, 6-0) at No. 2 singles.
Koscielski is now 4-0 to begin the season in the No. 2 singles spot. She defeated Bekirova (Stony Brook) 6-2, 6-1 to begin the spring season, then topped Niagara's Rodriguez 6-1, 7-5 to begin MAAC play.
The Bobcats have now won two straight MAAC Player of the Week honors. Dominique Vasile won the award last week (Wednesday, March 17).
