Women's Soccer Returns Home to Host Manhattan Tuesday

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's soccer team will host the Manhattan Jaspers on Tuesday, March 23 at 3 p.m. The Bobcats are coming off a 2-2 overtime tie at Rider last week. First-year Rebecca Cooke led the Bobcats with two goals against the Broncs.

Last Time Out
The Bobcats went on the road to Rider and came away with a 2-2 tie on March 16. Quinnipiac went down 0-2 early in the first half after two goals by Rider's Makenzie Rodrigues. First-year Rebecca Cooke scored in the 33rd minute of the first half to get the Bobcats within one goal before halftime. Later in the second half, Cooke scored again in the 86 minute to tie the game and force overtime. The score would remaing the same, 2-2, as the final.
Scouting Manhattan
The Jaspers have only played one game in 2021; Manhattan defeated Canisius on March 16, 1-0. Kaitlyn Hogan netted the lone goal in the win for Manhattan. In 2019, the Jaspers went 4-11-2 and did not make the MAAC Tournament.

The Bobcats and Broncs have met 10 times on the pitch. The Jaspers have the advantage in the series history with a 3-4-3 record. The last two results against Manhattan have been ties. In 2019, junior Selena Salas netted the Bobcats' only goal in a 1-1 tie.

Marist and Saint Peter's are currently in an athletic-wide shutout due to COVID-19 protocols. Monmouth, Quinnipiac and Rider are all tied for first in the standings with one win and one tie.
