QU Shoots 60.7% in First Half, Earns 2nd MAAC Win
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball shot over 60% from the floor in the first half, earning a MAAC victory over Niagara, 77-68, on New Year's Eve in Hamden.
Dezi Jones led the offensive charge for the Bobcats, recording 20 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
Kevin Marfo tallied another double-double, stuffing the stat sheet with 14 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
QU outscored Niagara 46-30 in the first half, shooting 8-of-14 from 3-point range over the first 20 minutes.

- Dezi Jones led the way with a career-high 20 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Jones played 39:35 in total, resting for just 25 seconds of the game. He shot 8-of-15 from the floor.
- Kevin Marfo registered his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 14 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Marfo went 4-for-6 from the floor in 30+ minutes. The graduate student is averaging 10.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game through 11 contests.
- Jacob Rigoni chipped in with 14 points, shooting 4-for-7 from 3-point distance. The Adelaide, Australia-native hit a big triple with 20 seconds remaining in regulation, giving QU a five-point lead at the time (73-68). Rigoni played in his 126th career game, which moved him into a tie with James Johnson ('12) for most total games played in QU history.
- Tymu Chenery added eight points, and Luis Kortright recorded seven points.
