
Diaz Posts 11 Kills in Sweep Over Manhattan

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Junior Aryanah Diaz led the way with 11 kills and junior Alisa Mejia recorded a career high eight kills as the Bobcats downed Manhattan in straight sets at Draddy Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Maggie Baker added seven kills, while senior Nicole Migliozzi contributed 17 assists in the victory.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
Manhattan and Quinnipiac were evenly matched in the set, trading the first 10 points, but Quinnipiac quickly regained control with a 11-3 scoring run that forced Quinnipiac to lead 18-10. A kill by Aryanah Diaz finished off the set, 25-18 .
SET TWO (25-21, QU)
The two sides evenly split the first 15 points. Quinnipiac quickly jumped to a 16-9 lead. Manhattan responded with seven straight points to tie the set at 16. Despite the Jaspers battling back, Quinnipiac closed the set with a kill by Georgia Tselepi.
SET THREE (25-21, QU)
Consistent play from Diaz and Nicole Legg lead to another smooth set for the Bobcats in the third. The duo had nine kills in the frame, which ended on a kill by Georgia Tselepi to end the match.
NEXT MATCH
The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, November 19, as Quinnipiac competes in the MAAC Tournament at 1 p.m.
