HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior Nicole Legg tallied a team-high 14 kills, while junior Aryanah Diaz recorded 11 kills and 12 digs for a double-double, as the Quinnipiac volleyball team fell in four sets against Fairfield at home on Burt Kahn Court on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Olga Zampati and sophomore Lexi Morse added eight kills apiece for the Bobcats in the loss.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
The two sides played to a 9-9 tie in the set before the Stags rallied for three straight points to take a 12-9 lead, forcing a Bobcats timeout. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats were able to battle back to knot the score at 14-14 behind three kills from Olga Zampati. The Stags responded with a 6-2 run to push its lead to 20-16, forcing Quinnipiac to use its final timeout of the set. The deficit proved to be too much for the Bobcats, as they eventually fell in the set 25-19.
SET TWO (25-16)
The Stags jumped out to an early 7-1 advantage in the set, forcing Quinnipiac to take an early timeout. Fairfield led by as much as nine points in the set before hanging on to take it, 25-16.
SET THREE (23-25)
The two sides remained even through the set, playing to a 15-15 tie. The Bobcats scored two straight points behind a service ace from Georgia Tselepi and a kill from Lexi Morse to give Quinnipiac a two-point advantage, forcing a Fairfield timeout. After pushing the lead to 20-16, Nicole Legg soared in for a kill to give Quinnipiac a 21-17 lead in the set. Trailing 23-20 in the set, Fairfield rallied for three straight points to force a Quinnipiac timeout. Out of the timeout, the Bobcats scored two consecutive points to take the set, 25-23.
SET FOUR (27-25)
The two sides played to a 4-4 tie before Fairfield rallied for four straight points to take an 8-4 lead. The Stags pushed their lead to 11-6 before Quinnipiac called its first timeout of the set. The Bobcats trailed by as much as 10 in the set before marching all the way back to tie the set at 24-24. With the set tied at 24, a Fairfield attack error gave Quinnipiac a 25-24 advantage, forcing a timeout by the Stags. Out of the timeout, Fairfield rallied for three straight scores to seal the set and match victory.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 6, as Quinnipiac plays host to MAAC foe Marist at 1 p.m. on Burt Kahn Court.
