HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior Nicole Legg led the way with a team-high 12 kills and sophomore Chloe Ka'ahanui registered a team-best 22 assists as the Quinnipiac volleyball team downed Manhattan in straight sets at home on Burt Kahn Court on Sunday afternoon.

Senior Georgia Tselepi added eight kills, while senior Nicole Migliozzi contributed 14 assists in the victory.

SET ONE (25-21, QU)
The two sides played to an early 5-5 tie in the set before the Bobcats pushed ahead, 11-7. After Manhattan cut Quinnipiac's lead to one the Bobcats responded with a 5-0 run, capped by a service ace from Diaz, to take a 16-10 lead. Despite the Jaspers cutting the Quinnipiac lead to as close as 22-21, the Bobcats closed the set with three straight points to secure the set win,

SET TWO (25-22)
Manhattan and Quinnipiac were evenly matched in the set, trading points to an 18-18 tie before the Jaspers pulled ahead 19-18. The Bobcats countered with a 5-1 run, powered by three kills from Legg to take a 23-20 lead. The Jaspers cut the score to as close as 23-22, but consecutive points from the Bobcats sealed the set victory.

SET THREE (25-17)
Manhattan jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead in the set before the Bobcats called a timeout. Out of the timeout, Quinnipiac went on a 9-4 run to tie the set score at 10-10. After Manhattan recorded a point, the Bobcats followed with a 6-1 run to push ahead 16-12. Despite the Jaspers battling back to trim the Bobcats' lead to 17-15, Quinnipiac responded with five straight points before coasting to a 25-17 set and match victory.

NEXT MATCH
The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, October 23, as Quinnipiac plays host to MAAC foe Canisius at 1 p.m. on Burt Kahn Court.
