Bobcats Earn Road Split
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Led by senior Maggie Baker's game-high 17 kills, the Bobcats had three players total over 10 kills as the Quinnipiac volleyball team defeated St. Peter's 3-1 on the road in Sunday's MAAC contest.
Junior Aryanah Diaz registered a game-high 33 assists to aid the Bobcats in the victory.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
Saint Peter's jumped out to a quick 5-3 lead to start the first set, but Quinnipiac quickly regained control with a 16-9 scoring run to take a commanding 21-12 lead. A service ace by Nicole Legg created a set point for the Bobcats and a few points later a St. Peter's attack error sealed the set win for Quinnipiac.
SET TWO (31-29)
The Bobcats got out to an early 7-3 lead in the set and maintained a four-point advantage through the set until the Peacocks knotted the score at 25-25. The two sides traded points to a 29-29 tie in the set before a kill from Olga Zampeti and a block from Legg secured the set 31-29 set victory.
SET THREE (15-25)
The Peacocks jumped out to an early 13-6 lead that it would not relinquish in the set. Despite four kills from Baker, the Bobcats fell 25-15 in the set.
SET FOUR (26-24)
After falling behind 6-2 in the set, the Bobcats responded with a 9-3 run of its own to take an 11-9 lead. The two sides remained even in the set, playing to a 24-24 tie. However, Zampeti put Quinnipiac ahead with a kill, followed by blocks by Alexandra Tennon and Legg ultimately sealed the set and match victory for the Bobcats.
NEXT MATCH
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, October 16, as Quinnipiac returns to Hamden to open their seven-game homestand, beginning with Iona at 1:00 p.m.
