Head Coach Paula Miller Announces Additions of Luehrman, Williams, and Vulpio Sisters
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Director of Tennis/Women's Tennis Head Coach Paula Miller has announced the addition of four student-athletes to the program heading into the 2020-21 season.
Alexandra Luehrman, Madison Williams and sisters Valentina Vulpio and Julia Vulpio will all join the Bobcats in the fall.
"We are excited about all four newcomers joining our Bobcat family," Miller said. "They are a great fit for our team culture, and I know that they will work hard and contribute to the success of the program both on and off the court. They love to compete and to improve each day, which will help us achieve our goal of winning the MAAC."
Alexandra Luehrman | Fort Myers, Fla. | Evangelical Christian School
Luehrman joins the Bobcats after playing high school tennis at Evangelical Christian School, where she played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. She also competed at the club level in USTA and ITF events. She is the No. 46 ranked player in the state of Florida, according to TennisRecruiting.net.

Luehrman is the daughter of Leanne and Glen, and she has two brothers, Blake and Brooks. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and intends to major in Law in Society at Quinnipiac.
Special interests: photography and traveling to new places with family
Madison Williams | Glen Cove, N.Y. | Laurel Springs School
Williams will enter Quinnipiac in the fall after attending Laurel Springs School while also competing at Glen Head Racquet Club. She ranks No. 13 in the state of New York, and No. 19 overall in the Mid Atlantic region on TennisRecruiting.net.
The four-star recruit was named to the Tennis Recruiting Hot 100 list twice – which recognized some of the top tennis recruits in the country. She is currently ranked No. 150 nationally.
Williams is the daughter of Jennifer and Henry. She has one sister, Mackenzie. She is a member of American Sign Language Honors Society, and has not yet chosen her intended major at Quinnipiac.

Julia Vulpio | Boca Raton, Fla. | ProWorld Academy (Delray Beach and Boca Raton)
Vulpio joins the Bobcats after playing tennis at ProWorld Academy (Delray Beach and Boca Raton) in Florida. Both Julia and her sister, Valentina, will join the Quinnipiac tennis program in the fall.
Julia won more than 100 tennis tournaments in her playing career. She has traveled to more than 50 countries around the world to play tennis as part of the ITF and WTA Tour. She also played soccer in high school.
She is the daughter of Frederick Vulpio. Julia has one brother, Lorenzo, and two sisters, Valentina and Ophelia. She plans to major in business at Quinnipiac.

Vulpio joins the Bobcats after playing tennis at Proworld Academy (Delray Beach and Boca Raton) in Florida. Both Valentina and her sister, Julia, will join the Quinnipiac tennis program in the fall. Vulpio also played soccer and basketball at ProWorld Academy.
