Jacob Rigoni's Buzzer-Beater Lifts Bobcats Past Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Junior Jacob Rigoni knocked down a three-pointer as time expired, lifting Quinnipiac men's basketball past in-state rival Fairfield on Friday night at Alumni Hall by the final score of 60-58.
Kevin Marfo found Rigoni for the three, and the Adelaide-native drilled it to give the Bobcats their eighth conference win of the 2019-20 season.
Rich Kelly got to the basket for a layup with 1:20 remaining to give QU the 57-56 lead, then Rigoni hit the game-winner. Rigoni's shot as time expired is QU's first game-winning basket with no time left since Umar Shannon drilled a three-quarter court shot on Feb. 22, 2014.
