Falzon Scores Career-High 24 Points, Bobcats Fall at Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell at Monmouth, 89-78, in MAAC play on Sunday afternoon at OceanFirst Bank Center.
Aaron Falzon scored a season-high 24 points in the loss, shooting 8-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-7 from three-point range. Rich Kelly added 20 points, four assists and three rebounds.

- Aaron Falzon now has 40 points over his last two games for the Bobcats, shooting 13-for-22 during that span. He's now averaging 7.5 points per game during his graduate season.
- Junior Rich Kelly shot 6-of-10 from three-point distance, adding four assists and three rebounds in 33 minutes of playing time.
- Redshirt junior Kevin Marfo added nine points and 13 rebounds over 22 minutes. The nation's leading rebounder now has 10+ boards in all but one game this year.
- First-year guard Matt Balanc added eight points, and sophomore Tyrese Williams stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, five assists and four rebounds.
- First-year big man Seth Pinkney had five points, five rebounds and four blocked shots. Pinkney's four blocks tie a season-best march, as he also blocked four shots vs. Niagara on Feb. 2, 2020.
- QU shot 24-of-56 (42.9 percent) from the floor in total, knocking down 13 three-pointers on the day.
- The Bobcats outrebounded Monmouth 41-29.
- Quinnipiac is now 22-18 against Monmouth in QU's Division I era.
