Marfo Block Seals Win in Front of Over 2,500 Fans on ESPNU
HAMDEN, Conn. - Junior Kevin Marfo blocked a Scott Hitchon jumper with less than five seconds remaining in regulation, leading Quinnipiac men's basketball past Canisius by the final score of 66-64 Friday night at the People's United Center on national television (ESPNU).
Junior guard Rich Kelly led all scorers with 17 points, Aaron Falzon chipped in with 16 points, and Kevin Marfo recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high five blocks in the win.

- Rich Kelly shot 5-of-15 from the floor in total, playing in almost 35 minutes. The junior added three assists and three rebounds.
- Kevin Marfo's 12 points came on 5-of-11 shooting, and the big man grabbed 12 total rebounds (three offensive rebounds). Marfo blocked the game-winning shot attempt with less than five seconds remaining, one of his career-high five blocks in the win.
- Marfo's five blocks are the most in a single game for the Bobcats since Chaise Daniels recorded seven blocked shots on Jan. 30, 2017 vs. Siena.
- Graduate student Aaron Falzon scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
- Jacob Rigoni added eight points and seven rebounds, knocking down two three-pointers in the victory.
- First-year Seth Pinkney recorded six points and three rebounds, as all six points came via dunks.
- QU outscored Canisius in the paint 28-24.
- Quinnipiac went 10-of-11 from the free throw line in the win.
- The Bobcats are now 6-9 all-time vs. Canisius in QU's Division I Era.
- Quinnipiac returns to play on Sunday, Feb. 23, traveling to Monmouth to continue MAAC play.
