Bobcats Begin Quest for MAAC Title with Strong Performance at FAU
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Quinnipiac first-year golfer Leeyen Peralta finished the final round of the FAU Winter Warm-up with a 74 (+2), which led her to a seventh-place finish on the individual leaderboard. Peralta recorded three birdies in her final round, with all three coming within the final 10 holes of her round.
As a team, the Bobcats recorded their second best 54-hole score in program history, finishing with a 906 through the three rounds and at seventh place on the leaderboard.

THIRD ROUND SCORES
- Sophomore Elena Lopez recorded a team-best 73 (+1) in the final round of the FAU Winter Warm-up. Lopez recorded two birdies in her final 10 holes on the day.
- Peralta continued her strong play in the event with her final round 74 (+2). Peralta concluded yesterday's first round with a 78, before finishing her second round with an impressive 68.
- Junior Queenie Lai also shot a 74 (+2) in round three. Lai recorded three birdies, all on the front nine, as she shot even par through the first nine holes.
- Senior Alexandra Sazhin posted an 81 (+9) on Tuesday. Sazhin completed her front nine at +2, including a string of five-straight pars in the opening nine holes.
- First year Kaylee Sakoda finished the third round with an 82 (+10). Sakoda recorded one birdie in the round, and she parred five holes on the back nine.
- Junior Elena Ybarra competed as an individual golfer and finished her final round with an 85 (+13). Ybarra recorded nine pars in her final round.
- Peralta finished the event tied for seventh in birdies made with nine over the three rounds.
- Peralta's 54-hole score of +4 is the second best mark in program history.
- Three Quinnipiac golfers played front or back nines at even par. Lai and Lopez finished on even par in their front nine's and Peralta finished her back nine on even par.
