10 Different Bobcats Score in Victory
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned an impressive victory to begin the 2020-21 season on Wednesday at the People's United Center in Hamden, topping Fairleigh Dickinson by the final score of 84-66.
Ten different Bobcats scored in the opener, and Quinnipiac shot 49.2 percent (31-of-63) from the floor.
Savion Lewis (12 points, three assists) and Seth Pinkney (12 points, three rebounds) paced the QU offense in the winning effort.
Sophomore Elias King chipped in with 12 points, nine rebounds and two assists in his Quinnipiac debut, and first-year wing Tymu Chenery added 12 points and six rebounds in his first collegiate game.

- QU's largest lead was 27 points, which came with 4:19 left in the second half when Savion Lewis finished at the rim for two points.
- Redshirt sophomore Savion Lewis stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, three assists and two rebounds, going 5-of-9 from the field.
- Seth Pinkney had 12 points in just 11 minutes played, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor.
- Senior Jacob Rigoni added 11 points, hitting three shots from three-point distance.
- Tyrese Williams added seven points and three rebounds, while Matt Balanc scored five points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Tyree Pickron chipped in with eight points and three rebounds off the bench. The Bobcats were +18 with Pickron on the floor, the highest +/- of any QU player for the night.
- Elias King, Tymu Chenery, Bol Akot, Luis Kortright and JJ Riggins all made their QU debut in the victory.
- Elias King recorded 11 points and nine rebounds in his first Division I collegiate contest, going 4-of-8 from the field. King played 28 total minutes, going 3-for-4 from the charity stripe.
- Tymu Chenery also added 11 points in his Bobcat debut, going 3-for-5 from the floor. Chenery grabbed six rebounds in 17 minutes.
- Bol Akot chipped in with three points, a team-best seven assists and two rebounds in his first 23 minutes of his Quinnipiac career.
- Luis Kortright earned four points and four rebounds.
- Head Coach Baker Dunleavy now has 44 total wins over his first three-plus seasons in Hamden.
