Marfo Records Double-Double, Bobcats Fall at Siena on Sunday

ALBANY, N.Y. – Kevin Marfo recorded his 10th double-double of the season on Sunday afternoon at the Times Union Center, as Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in MAAC play vs. Siena by the final score of 84-61. The Bobcats fall to 5-3 in league action with the loss.
Marfo tallied 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, adding 10 rebounds and four assists. Rich Kelly recorded a team-high 12 points, and Matt Balanc/Jacob Rigoni both chipped in with 10.

- The Bobcats shot 23-of-54 (42.6 percent) in total, knocking down seven three-pointers.
- Siena out-rebounded the Bobcats 34-25, and Quinnipiac committed 12 turnovers to the Saints' 11.
- Marfo's double-double is his 10th of the season. The nation's leading rebounder is averaging 13.7 boards per contest, and remains the only player in Division I basketball to grab 10+ rebounds each time he's taken the floor in 2019-20.
- Kelly's 12 points came via 5-of-14 shooting, as the junior went 2-for-5 from three-point range.
- Junior Jacob Rigoni went 4-for-8 from the field in the loss, knocking down two more three-pointers. Rigoni has now surpassed the 800-point mark for his career, extending his career total to 806 after scoring 10 points on Sunday.
- First Year Matt Balanc added 10 points and two rebounds, shooting 3-of-6 from the floor. He has scored 10+ points in nine different games this year.
- Seth Pinkney added six points and four rebounds, Brendan McGuire added four points and two assists, Aaron Falzon scored three points to go along with four rebounds, and Tyree Pickron had three points and two rebounds.
- The Bobcats are now 6-7 against Siena in Division I program history.
- The Bobcats travel to Western New York next weekend, squaring off with Canisius on Friday, Jan. 31 (7:00 p.m.) and Niagara on Sunday, Feb. 2 (1:00 p.m.)
- Quinnipiac returns home on Friday, Feb. 7, hosting reigning MAAC champion Iona in Hamden at 7:30 p.m.
