
QU Tennis Programs Earn ITA All-Academic Award

Nine Bobcats Also Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. – Quinnipiac men's and women's tennis both earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Thursday, July 18.
Nine Bobcats also earned All-Academic status – five from the men's tennis team and four from the women's tennis program. Proyfon Lohaphaisan, Alexandra Mircea, Dominique Vasile and Amy Zammarieh qualified for All-Academic honors on the women's side, while Patrick Cachapero, Alester Magalit, Hielke Moore, Axel Stern and Austin Yannone earned the status for men's tennis.
To qualify for All-Academic status as a team, programs must post an overall GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA Scholar-Athletes must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
