Bobcats Cruise Past Siena in MAAC Semifinals

Women's Tennis Advances to Sixth Straight MAAC Title Contest
WEST WINDSOR, NJ – Quinnipiac women's tennis is headed to its sixth-straight conference title contest, as the No. 1 Bobcats cruised past No. 4 Siena by the final score of 4-1 on Saturday in the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament.
Jennifer Lu and Layla Rodriguez each won a singles and doubles contest for the Bobcats. Lu and Rodriguez teamed up to earn a No. 3 doubles win to begin the day, then Lu won in No. 2 singles and Rodriguez earned a match victory in No. 5 singles to help lead Quinnipiac.
With Lu's singles win, the senior now has 69 career singles victories – tied for second-most in program history with Jacqueline Raynor ('15).

- Jennifer Lu earned her 14th singles win of the season, making quick work of Mullaney in No. 2 singles play (6-0, 6-2).
- Payton Bradley picked up the Bobcats' second singles point of the day, earning a two-set win in No. 4 singles. Bradley picked up her 14th singles win of the season – which ranks tied for third on the team.
- Layla Rodriguez second win of the day and 10th singles victory of the season came in the No. 5 spot, as she won 6-3, 7-6 (2) vs. Siena's Becker.
- Courtney Nash clinched the victory for QU, earning a two-set win in No. 6 singles play. She has now won a team-best 16 matches this season.
- Jennifer Lu and Layla Rodriguez are now 6-3 in doubles action so far this year. The duo has gone 4-0 in doubles matches vs. MAAC opponents.
