
Women's Hockey Takes on Yale and Brown on the Road

GAME NOTES
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's hockey team will play Yale and Brown this weekend on the road to continue the final stretch of ECAC play. The Bobcats and the Bulldogs will meet at Ingalls Rink on Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. Quinnipiac will then travel to Providence, R.I., on Saturday, Feb. 9 to play the Bears at 3 p.m.
Scouting Yale
The Bulldogs are 7-15-1 overall with a 6-9-1 ECAC record. Yale is coming off a 1-1 weekend against Harvard and Dartmouth. The Bulldogs defeated the Big Green, 2-0, and lost to the Crimson, 5-2.
Freshman Rebecca Vanstone leads the Bulldogs with 18 points on 11 goals and seven assists. Tera Hofmann has played in 18 games with a .919 save percentage and 2.58 goals against average.
All-Time Against the Bulldogs
Quinnipiac is 17-18-7 against Yale and won the first meeting back in October, 2-0. Kenzie Lancaster and Kati Tabin both netted their first goals of the season against the Bulldogs.
Scouting Brown
The Bears are 5-16-2 overall and 2-6-2 in conference play. Brown is coming off an 0-2 weekend after dropping two games against Dartmouth and Harvard.
Sena Hanson leads the Bears with 16 points on 12 goals and four assists. Hayley Kliczko and Calla Isaac have split time throughout the sesaon in the net. Kliczko has recorded a .894 save percentage and 3.63 goals against average. Isaac has tallied a .907 save percentage and 3.54 goals against average.
All-Time Against the Bears
The Bobcats hold a 20-6-3 all-time record against the Bears. Quinnipiac shut out Brown back in October, 4-0.
Bobcats' Last Time Out
Quinnipiac dropped a 3-2 decision to the #5 Clarkson Golden Knights on Friday in Hamden. Randi Marcon scored in the first 15 seconds to take the 1-0 lead and Lexie Adzija tallied a power play goal, but Loren Gabel netted three to give the Golden Knighs the win.
Against the St. Lawrence Saints, four different Bobcats scored - Marcon, Adzija, Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout and Brooke Bonsteel. The Saints came away with the 5-4 win.
Lexie Leading
Freshman Lexie Adzija leads all Quinnipiac freshmen and is ranked sixth in the conference in scoring (4-5-9).
Bobcats on the PK
Quinnipiac has gone 39-43 (90.7%) on the penalty kill through 16 ECAC games, which ranks first overall in the conference. The Bobcats are ranked 11th in penalty minutes, averaging on 5.4 PIMs per game.
A Look at the ECAC
Cornell and Princeton are now tied for first in the ECAC with 27 points. Clarkson, Colgate, St. Lawrence, RPI, Harvard and Quinnipiac fill the middle-of-the-pack. Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, and Union make the bottom.
Samo's Career
Samoskevich recorded her 100th career point against Sacred Heart after scoring her 50th goal. She is the sixth women's hockey player to score 100 caeer points. The senior is now ranked third on the all-time individual goals record list. She is ranked eighth on the all-time assists list with 52.
Senior Campaign
Senior forward Randi Marcon has already surpassed her point totals from last season with six goals and four assists for ten points in 2018-19. She scored twice against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
