- Points: Fay (20)
- Rebounds: Fay (7)
- Assists: Fay/McClure (3)
- Steals: Thornton (3)
- Blocks: McClure/Strautmane (2)
- Both teams used the first quarter to settle into the action with Marist taking a brief six-point lead but, ultimately, a Lovisa Henningsdottir three-pointer sent the Red Foxes into the second quarter with a 17-14 lead.
- Fay, Paula Strautmane, and Aryn McClure combined to go on an 11-2 run over the first 4:24 of the second, giving the Bobcats a 25-19 lead.
- After a mini-run allowed Marist to tie the game at 27, Quinnipiac strung together 14 unanswered points in the final four minutes of the half to carry a commanding 41-27 edge into the locker room. Jen Fay and Brittany Martin combined for all 14 Quinnipiac points on the run, including an old-school three-point play by Martin who also hit a three-pointer while being knocked to the ground.
- McClure opened the second half with a layup to extend the lead to 16 (43-27), but Marist owned the remainder of the period. The Red Foxes allowed just one more Quinnipiac field goal in the quarter as they rattled off a 15-5 run to trim the deficit to just six (48-42) entering the final frame.
- After the Bobcats opened up a double-digit lead in the early going of the fourth, Marist's Alana Gilmer knocked down a jumper with 7:26 left on the clock that pulled the Red Foxes back within six (55-49). Six points, however, was the closest that Marist would get for the remainder of the afternoon, as the Bobcats would turn up the offensive output to close the game out with 23 points in the final 7:09 of the game.
- Edel Thornton played her fifth-consecutive game without committing a single turnover. The senior has 17 assists in that span and leads all MAAC players in assist-to-turnover ratio in conference games.
- Strautmane recorded two more blocks, running her streak to 15-straight games with at least one block. The senior had 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals on the day.
- McClure had another productive outing with 16 points, five boards, three assists, two blocks, and a steal in the win.
- The Bobcats improve to 12-4 all-time against Marist. After losing the first three games in the series in 2013-14, Quinnipiac has won 11 of the last 12 and eight in a row against their conference rival.
- Quinnipiac remains unbeaten in MAAC play, running the overall conference winning streak to 47 games, the 13th-longest in Division I history.
- Entering play today, the Bobcats were one of just seven programs in the nation to have claimed at least a share of the regular season conference title in each the last four seasons. The others are Connecticut, Notre Dame, Baylor, DePaul, Green Bay, and New Mexico State. Based on current standings, it is not likely that all six other teams will raise their streak to five straight.
- Quinnipiac's 16-game win streak is tied with #25 Rice for the second-longest active streak in the nation and only one game behind #1 Baylor.
- The Bobcats will play their final home game of the season on Thursday night when they welcome the Manhattan College Jaspers to the People's United Center for a 7 p.m. tip.
