ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell vs. Drexel, 72-63, in the first game of the 2019 Boardwalk Battle on Friday, Dec. 20 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

Rich Kelly paced the Bobcats' offense with 18 points. Kevin Marfo grabbed 17 more rebounds – a career-high for the redshirt junior.

The Bobcats opened up the game going 8-of-13 over the first 8:24, knocking down four shots from distance in that span to take a 20-18 lead heading into the first media timeout.
Rich Kelly paced the offense with 18 more points, giving him 871 career points. Kelly shot 7-of-15 from the floor, adding five assists and three rebounds.
Kevin Marfo grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds (eight offensive), adding nine points. He had 11 rebounds in the first half (six offensive rebounds), extending his streak of double-digit boards to nine games to begin 2019-20. Marfo is the only Division I player in the country to grab 10+ rebounds every time he's taken the floor this season.
Aaron Falzon added 12 points (four three-pointers), and Jacob Rigoni chipped in with 11 points (three three-pointers).
Tyrese Williams added six points and four rebounds.
First Year Brendan McGuire logged a career-high 16 minutes, scoring two points to go along with three rebounds.
The Bobcats are now 1-6 all-time vs. Drexel.
