Koenig Tallies Two Tries in Loss to Army West Point

Bobcats Take Early Lead on Senior Day, Fall to Black Knights, 55-14
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's rugby sophomore Allison Koenig (HOMETOWN) score two tries Saturday afternoon but the Bobcats dropped the final regular season contest against the Army West Point Black Knights, 55-14, on Senior Day.
Koenig's two-try performance was her second two-try performance of the season as she played a key role in the Bobcats taking an early lead.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the opening minute after a try from Koenig and conversion from Mckenna Haz (Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia) before the Black Knights scored two tries to take the lead in the next nine minutes.
Koenig added her second try of the game and Haz recorded another conversion midway through the half to reclaim the lead for the Bobcats, 14-10.
Army West Point added two tries late in the first half to take a 20-14 lead into halftime before adding five tries and conversions in the second half.
