Herd Scores 19, McClure Flirts with Triple-Double as Bobcats Dominate Stags
HAMDEN, Conn. – Taylor Herd (Quakertown, Pennsylvania) knocked down five three pointers for a career-high 19 points and Aryn McClure nearly tallied a triple-double to lead the Quinnipiac women's basketball team to a convincing 81-36 victory over the Fairfield Stags on Thursday evening at the People's United Center.
McClure posted 15 points, along with eight assists, six rebounds, four steals, and a block. Herd added two rebounds, two blocks, and a steal to her career night.
The Bobcats trailed at the end of the first quarter, but outscored the Stags 24-4 in the second frame to take the lead for good.
Mackenzie DeWees (Westminster, Maryland) posted career highs with eight rebounds and three steals along with seven points in the win.
