Whipkey Nets Second Goal of Season as Bobcats Fall to Flames, 8-1
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Brooke Whipkey (Charlotte, North Carolina) scored her second goal of the season Friday afternoon but the Quinnipiac field hockey team fell to the No. 20 Liberty Flames, 8-1, at the Liberty Field Hockey Field.
Freshman Alicia Galasso (Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania) thrived between the pipes as she came off the bench in the first half, making nine saves with six of them coming in the second half.

- Freshman goalkeeper Alicia Galasso (Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania) tallied a career-high nine saves in her third game of the season
- Her nine saves are also a season-high for Quinnipiac goalkeepers
- Alyssa Watson (Honesdale, Pennsylvania) recorded her first career defensive save for the Bobcats just one game after scoring her first career goal
- Watson's defensive save was the sixth of the season for Quinnipiac as Ines Ruiz Martinez (Madrid, Spain) leads the nation with five

- Quinnipiac field hockey returns to the field next Friday when the Bobcats travel down to Villanova, Pennsylvania for a BIG EAST showdown with the Villanova Wildcats at 4 p.m. from the Conshocken Proving Grounds.
